Story Behind the Art
Some characters simply wander into your imagination uninvited, sit down like they’ve always belonged there, and wait for you to notice them. That’s exactly how Ernie arrived.
I didn’t know what he looked like at first. I just had this persistent feeling that a fox wanted to be painted, soft, curious little energy tapping at my creativity. When I finally picked up my brushes, he started revealing himself piece by piece, it was just like meeting a new friend!
I still don’t really know where he comes from, maybe from a memory, maybe from a story I haven’t told yet, maybe from some quiet corner of imagination that needed a voice.
What I do know is that I’m glad he’s here.
